LOGITECH G502
The Apple AirTag campaign was a game-changer for Fox My Box, increasing customer interest. To meet the growing demand, we decided to scale our 3D visualizations to highlight more customized products across social media and digital ads.
After conducting market research, I recognized the rapid growth of the gaming and streaming industry in India during 2021. The gaming industry saw a massive 417% growth. The streaming industry in India also gained immense 400% growth from 2018-2021.
This insight led me to focus on showcasing one of the country’s most popular gaming accessories—the Logitech G502 mouse. My objective was to capture the attention of gaming influencers and their audiences, positioning our brand firmly within the gaming community.
My idea was to create a 15-second CGI Instagram reel showcasing the various bespoke color combinations offered for the G502 mouse. I was given the creative freedom to choose my own color combinations to showcase for the mouse.




Initially, I proposed an idea to showcase randomly generated two-color combinations for the mouse, drawn from the available customization colors in our workshop. However, my team felt that the concept was too simple and lacked a meaningful connection with consumers. Taking their feedback into account, I collaborated with the team to brainstorm ideas for the reel.
During our session, we developed a concept to feature three distinct color combinations, each inspired by popular games from 2021. These combinations added personality and recognizability to the customized mouse, allowing consumers customization in the theme of their favorite game, creating a stronger connection.
The three color combinations we decided to showcase were:
The first, “Mustard Keef,” inspired by Halo Infinite; the second, “Getaway Soufflé,” influenced by Kena: Bridge of Spirits; and the third, “Brave Fox,” inspired by Ratchet and Clank, Rift Apart.



After deciding the color combinations, I set off to work in Cinema 4D. I used redshift as my choice of render engine for this project.
For the Mustard Keef and Getaway Soufle color combinations, I simply used the roughness along with clear coat sliders in the material editor to achieve the desired finish.


For the Brave Fox color combination, I decided to create a pearl finish with metallic flakes in it. This type of finish is usually found in car paint. To achieve this finish, I referred to the redshift documentation. To my surprise I found out that redshift has an existing flakes shader node to achieve exactly what I was looking for.
I used a studio HDRI to light my scene. Since the animation choice for the showcase was simple, to add a slight flare, I experimented and added soft body and cloth simulation to create the bounce and color fabric at the end of the video.

RESULT
As a result of this reel, Fox My Box gained about 900 new followers on Instagram overnight and accumulated a total of 3,000 followers within a week—all achieved organically. Additionally, the reel performed exceptionally well as a digital ad on Instagram, generating significant leads, and approximately 27% were successfully converted into new customers. This also gained traction within the gaming community where we customized more than 200 Logitech G502 mouse inspired by games like League of Legends, Call of Duty, Data 2, CS:GO, Spiderman, Valorant etc.
