VAPORWAVES
I initiated the Vaporwaves 3D Render Project as a personal creative exploration to strengthen my technical skill set and push the boundaries of my design abilities. The project aimed to combine creative aesthetics with technical mastery while allowing me to explore new workflows, rendering techniques, and color systems. This project was rooted in learning and curiosity—two principles I sought to embody by experimenting with advanced 3D modeling, rendering workflows, and lighting techniques.
My goal was to create a highly photorealistic 3D render of a vaporwave-inspired shoe while experimenting with advanced rendering tools and workflows. Specifically, I wanted to:
- Explore Octane Render Engine for faster, GPU-based photorealistic rendering.
- Learn and implement ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) for superior color consistency and dynamic range.
3. Experiment with creative lighting approaches to integrate a vibrant, neon Vaporwave aesthetic into the render.
